Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to provide my own domain / website address / URL?

If you don’t already own one, we will help you select the best domain/URL for your bowling alley’s website. (The name of your bowling alley is the best option, but we can add on the name of your area or city too if needed).

If you already own a domain that you’d like to use for your new website, we’ll coordinate with you to get it transferred so we can manage everything for you going forward.

The ongoing cost of the domain re-registration is included in your monthly service, so there’s nothing extra to pay.

Will I own my domain?

Yes. While managing your domain at our registrar enables us to manage your bowling alley website for you, you will always be the legal owner of your domain.

Do I own the graphics and content that were created for my website?

Any photos, logos, files, or other material you provide us belongs to you.

Because we don’t charge for the design upfront, all other website elements and code we create are leased like a service or a utility.

Our bowling alley clients are granted the right to use the website we create as long as they remain customers.

How are minor website edits or updates handled?

Just drop us an email and we’ll get right on it.

Your service agreement with us includes up to 60 mintues of support work (content changes, updates, photos, etc) per month, which we’ve found to be more than enough to take care of everything typically needed to keep your website information up-to-date.

How many pages does my website include?

All websites include at least 6 pages — Our 5 Standard pages and your choice of one of our optional pages.

Additional pages are available based on the package that you choose. See our packages and rates here.

Are extra pages or additional functionality available? Can I upgrade my package?

We’re happy to discuss options and costs for whatever you have in mind. We can add additional pages or special functionality to your site on an as-needed basis, either before launch or at any point in the future.

You can upgrade your package to another package at any time.

Is Search Engine Optimization (SEO) included?

Absolutely! Because… what’s the point of designing a website if no one is ever going to find it?

Unlike many web designers or DIY website builders who charge extra for optimizing your site for searches, we include it in all of our web design packages.

If you’re looking for an extra boost to get ahead in competitive markets, our Strike package includes Google Ad management allowing you to advertise to people searching in your area.

Do you handle the website software updates?

Yes, we’ll regularly scan your website to ensure it stays safe from malware and other threats, and we’ll make sure that the behind-the-scenes software that powers your website is kept up-to-date.

In the unlikely case of a compromise, we’ll restore the latest backup to your website and get you back on track as soon as possible.

That’s all included in your monthly service.

How long will it take to build my website?

Once we have your photos, logo, service agreement, and complete information in hand, we’ll have your new website designed, coded, and ready for your review and launch in 30 days or less.

Who will 'host' my website?

We will! Website Hosting means storing all of your website information (pictures and text) on a computer server so that whenever someone types in your bowling alley’s website address, those files and pictures are accessible 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Hosting is a necessary function of every website, and is included as an integral part of your monthly service.

What do I need to provide to get started?

We’ll need you to provide:

  • Photos of your bowling alley. (We do have a large stock photo library, but it’s always best to have a local photographer come into your location and take pictures for your bowling alley website that you’ll also be able to use on social media).
  • A digital copy of  your logo
  • A signed copy of our monthly service agreement
  • Complete our Online Information Form so that we have complete details about your bowling alley

It’s our job to make your website launch as smooth as possible, so we’ll give you a checklist of what’s needed and be available to answer questions along the way.

Which forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.

Whichever you choose, we’ll automatically invoice your card on the first of each month.
